Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat Celebrates Turkish Cuisine Week
The experienced cooks gave a master class on preparing Turkish dolma for the guests.

The Embassy of Turkey in Turkmenistan on Saturday organized an event dedicated to the Week of Turkish Cuisine.

Media representatives attended the event, which took place at the residence of the Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral.

The solemn event included the presentation of the book “Turkish Cuisine with Centuries-old Recipes” of the First Lady of Turkey Emine Erdogan.

Emine Erdogan, the wife of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a video presentation of the book said, “The book “Turkish Cuisine with Centuries-old Recipes” is a step towards revealing our great wealth to the world.”

“The book is a joint work of leading chefs, scientists and researchers in the field of gastronomy in Turkey. This book will open up to the world different aspects of healthy and waste-free traditional Turkish cuisine,” the Turkey’s First Lady Emine Erdogan emphasized.

In his opening speech, Ambassador Togan Oral said the Week of Turkish Cuisine was celebrated from May 21 to May 27, adding that this event is held to familiarize representatives of local media with the dishes of national Turkish cuisine.

The experienced cooks gave a master class on preparing Turkish dolma for the guests. The participants were then offered exquisite dishes of Turkish cuisine.

Turkey became the first country to recognize the independence of Turkmenistan. Diplomatic relations between the countries were established on February 29, 1992.
