The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday inspected the progress of construction works underway at the Magtymguly Pyragy Cultural Park Complex, located in its southern part of the Turkmen capital Ashgabat, as well as other projects for the development of the capital.
In the cultural and park complex the National Leader of the Turkmen people was met by some deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Mayor of Ashgabat, according to the country’s official media.
The Halk Maslahaty Chairman emphasized the need to pay more attention to the improvement of the park and the area around it, ensuring ecological well-being, and maintaining cleanliness.
During the trip, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also inspected projects and plans for the location of facilities planned for construction within the cultural park complex.
Highlighting the importance of applying the latest technologies in the design of the complex, the National Leader of the Turkmen people drew attention to the bright illumination of the Magtymguly Pyragy sculpture using various special effects.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also emphasized the expediency of using special electric vehicles for touring the complex.
In early September 2022, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution authorizing the Administration of Ashgabat to sign a new contract with the Russian construction company Vozrozhdeniye for reconstruction and modernization of a new monument to Magtymguly Pyragy and improvement of adjacent territories.
