Turkmen President Holds Phone Talks With Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Iranian President Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi held a phone conversation, as reported by Watan News on Thursday.

The President of Turkmenistan cordially greeted the President of Iran and expressed condolences in connection with the terrorist attack in the Iranian city of Kerman, which led to numerous casualties and injuries.

On behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his behalf, the Head of State conveyed the words of deep empathy and support to the families, relatives and friends of the victims at this difficult moment and wished the victims a swift recovery.

President of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi thanked the President of Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and the Turkmen people for their condolences and empathy.

During the telephone conversation, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi expressed satisfaction with developing fruitful Turkmen-Iranian relations at the bilateral level and within the framework of international organisations based on the principles of mutual respect and trust.

At the end of the phone talks, the sides emphasised cooperation in the trade and economic field as one of the priorities of Turkmen-Iranian relations.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of Iran Seyed Ebrahim Raisi wished each other good health, success in fulfilling responsible state tasks, and to the friendly nations of the two countries - peace, well-being and happiness.
