Operational appraisal wells have been drilled at Turkmenistan's oil and gas fields, yielding industrial inflows of sour gas, announced Batyr Amanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers overseeing the country's fuel and energy complex, during a regular online government session on Friday.
The Vice Premier highlighted that foremost, the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern is successfully conducting exploration activities for sour gas at the world's largest gas field Galkynysh, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media.
According to Amanov, with the aim of further exploration and development of new gas fields in the coming years, Türkmengaz has devised a plan of action to obtain additional volumes of natural gas from wells in the shortest possible time.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the work carried out by Türkmengaz SC in increasing the production of natural gas and issued specific instructions to the Vice Premier.
Additionally, during the government session, it was noted that Turkmenistan plans to establish the Üznüksiz Çeşme economic society for the production of equipment for energy storage and uninterrupted power supply (UPS).
