2024: Turkmenistan Raises State Procurement Price For Rice

Per a Decree signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan, the state procurement price for rice in the country has been raised starting from the 2024 harvest.

The document instructs the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Association Türkmengallaönümleri, and the administrations of Dashoguz and Lebap provinces to ensure high rice yields in the respective districts of these regions.

The Decree, signed to advance agricultural sector reforms in the country, aims to bolster food security by boosting agricultural production and encouraging farmers to achieve higher rice yields.

At the regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, the Head of State gave his blessing to start the grain harvest in the Ahal, Lebap, and Mary provinces on June 7, and in the Balkan and Dashoguz provinces on June 14 of this year.
