On Tuesday, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with Ivan Kuzmin, Head of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council for Seed Production of the CIS. Kuzmin participated in the International Scientific Conference on "Achievements and Challenges in Agricultural Seed Production" and was honored with Turkmenistan's highest state award.
Kuzmin expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality and praised the organization of the Halk Maslahaty session, which reflected the unity and dedication of the Turkmen people. He highlighted his lifelong commitment to agriculture and seed production.
Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Kuzmin for his continuous contributions to advancing agricultural research in Turkmenistan. He congratulated Kuzmin on being awarded the title of Hero of Turkmenistan for his significant efforts in developing seed production based on scientific principles.
Kuzmin expressed heartfelt appreciation for the honor and took the opportunity to congratulate Hero-Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, and the Turkmen people on the upcoming 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of new wheat varieties developed by Turkmen scientists, such as "Serdar," "Arkadag," and "Pyragy," which boast high yields, disease resistance, and adaptability to local conditions. This underscores Turkmenistan’s commitment to advancing agriculture and enhancing the nation’s food security and export potential.
The meeting concluded with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again congratulating Ivan Kuzmin and wishing him continued success.
