The Ministry of Textile Industry plans to construct a new textile complex in the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi district of Dashoguz province, which will produce cotton yarn, cotton and terry fabrics, as well as finished garments. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Trade and Textile Industry, Batyr Atdayev, during an online cabinet meeting on Friday.
According to official Turkmen media, the complex is expected to boost production and export of high-quality, eco-friendly textile products while also creating new jobs.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that new facilities with modern technologies are regularly launched to advance the textile sector, noting the high demand for the country’s premium textiles both domestically and internationally.
Approving the project, President Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary preparatory work.
The cabinet meeting also addressed other state matters.
