The Russian marketplace Ozon is actively negotiating with Turkmen partners to launch its sales in the country, as announced by the company’s press secretary, Kristina Topalova, at the XVII International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technologies, and Broadcasting, Türkmentel-2024, held in Ashgabat, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.
Topalova mentioned that the company hopes to begin offering its services in the new market soon, emphasizing that Ozon is one of the largest marketplaces in the CIS, offering over 370 million products across various categories.
Founded in 1998 as an online bookstore, Ozon has transformed into a universal marketplace featuring electronics, clothing, cosmetics, food products, and home goods.
The Türkmentel-2024 exhibition attracted leading global companies, including Amazon Project Kuiper, SpaceX, Ozon Marketplace Kazakhstan, Dell Technologies, EUROPEAN NETWORKS, Eastwind, Huawei, and Samsung. The event provided a platform for discussions on key issues such as the digital economy, cybersecurity, satellite communications, and the development of 5G networks.
