Turkmenistan plans to invest 40.1 billion manats in its economic development in 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Financial Affairs Hojamyrat Geldimyradov announced during an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.

Official media of Turkmenistan reported that Geldimyradov provided updates on the preparation of the state budget for the upcoming year, highlighting the main directions for socio-economic development and the Investment Program. These initiatives are based on the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022-2028" and a relevant resolution adopted in May.

The main financial document aims to successfully implement large-scale reforms and strengthen the national economy.

Principal tasks for the upcoming year include maintaining macroeconomic stability and making significant investments in production modernization and regional development.

The proposed state budget for 2025 includes increases in salaries, pensions, scholarships, and social benefits.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the document and sent the budget proposal to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan for consideration.

The government meeting also addressed key tasks for the country's socio-economic development, reviewed several project proposals, and discussed various other issues.
