SmartLog has proposed creating container packages for fast container trains that will transport goods from Turkmenistan to neighboring countries, including Iran. Yuri Sukharkov, director of the company's Order Fulfillment Center, announced this initiative at the Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2024 conference on Wednesday in Ashgabat.
This initiative aims to accelerate cargo delivery, improve logistics processes, and enhance service quality.
Sukharkov noted that key stages of the North-South route include issuing containers at the port, maritime transport, transshipment, and rail delivery within Russia.
SmartLog also plans to offer its capabilities for transit transshipment in Central Asia, creating new opportunities to expand transportation routes.
