The state energy corporation of Turkmenistan, Türkmenenergo, received permission to sign additional agreements with the Afghan company Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS).
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant decree, as reported by the official media on Saturday.
The document seeks to implement programs for exporting Turkmen electricity and strengthen energy cooperation with neighboring countries, especially Afghanistan.
A high-profile delegation from the Afghan energy company Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), led by CEO Abdul Bari Omar, visited Turkmenistan to negotiate bilateral energy cooperation. During the visit, the delegation discussed electricity supplies from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, including terms and volumes for 2025.
