The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the site designated for the construction of a new complex for the Auto Sports Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan on Thursday, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.
Minister of Internal Affairs Muhammet Hydyrov presented the building projects designed for training, competitions, and the preparation of sports cars. The center will cover a total area of 71 hectares and will be located 40 kilometers north of Ashgabat.
The center will feature two sections with facilities for hosting international tournaments, practicing auto and motorcycle sports, and tracks for long-distance competitions. The emblems on the buildings will depict the Ahal-Teke horse and the Alabay dog, symbols of the Turkmen nation.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of considering the ecological features of the area during construction and provided recommendations on the projects. He also highlighted the need to create infrastructure that meets international standards and ensures conditions for athletes to train and perform on global stages.
Special attention focused on the development of motorsport among youth. The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that engaging in sports fosters qualities such as courage, determination, and discipline.
At the end of the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov tested a new sports car that arrived at the center, showcasing its technical capabilities on the sandy roads of the Garagum Desert. He also suggested using construction materials that consider local environmental features and proposed greening the desert area.
The project for constructing the auto sports center reflects Turkmenistan's commitment to ecological principles, innovative development, and support for the younger generation passionate about sports.
