Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday for a vegetable oil production plant in the Garashsyzlyk district of the Dashoguz region. The facility is designed to process 60,000 tons of industrial cottonseed annually, according to Turkmen state media.

The plant will be fully equipped with modern machinery from international companies. Its production process will include receiving and laboratory testing of raw materials, processing them in the pressing workshop and subsequently refining the extracted oil. The refining workshop will have a capacity of 50 tons of crude oil per day.

The facility is expected to produce about 9 million one-liter bottles of vegetable oil annually. A dedicated bottling and packaging building will be established, and modern technologies will be introduced into the production process.

According to the project, the production facility will cover a total area of 122,500 square meters and be capable of receiving up to 600 tons of raw materials per day. Once operational, the plant is expected to provide jobs for about 250 people.

The project aims to increase the processing of locally sourced raw materials, expand vegetable oil production and supply the domestic market with locally produced goods.
