The State Standardization Center Türkmenstandartlary expanded its international accreditation by adding a temperature measurement calibration laboratory and a mass laboratory. The National Accreditation Authority of Hungary (NAH) conducted an assessment that confirmed the laboratories' compliance with international standards, as reported by the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.

Now, the Center can calibrate a wide range of measuring instruments, including platinum thermometers, weights, and weighing instruments, with high precision. The extension of accreditation until 2028 opens new opportunities for currency savings and confirms the high quality of the work performed.

One of the Center's priority tasks remains the complete preparation of laboratories for international accreditation under the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, ensuring compliance with global standards in metrology.

State Standardization Center of Turkmenistan opened on October 1, 2013. The facility features modern equipment to ensure measurement consistency in the country. The Center occupies an area of 25,500 square meters and includes laboratories equipped with reference-standard equipment from leading global manufacturers.

A significant milestone occurred with the adoption of the Law on Ensuring Measurement Consistency in 2012. Equipment delivery finished in 2015, and all devices underwent calibration in international laboratories. Today, the Center conducts calibrations in 17 types of measurements and actively trains its specialists.
