Member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, entrepreneur Rozumbay Rejepov, has launched production of PET tape from recycled materials in Turkmenabat, located in the Lebap velayat.
The factory features modern equipment from China that processes PET bottles, plastic containers used for packaging beverages. This recycling produces high-quality raw materials for manufacturing PET tape, as reported by the newspaper Rysgal, published on Monday.
The products not only replace imported goods but also significantly expand the range of local products. In addition to supplying the domestic market, the products export to Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and Georgia.
Entrepreneur Rozumbay Rejepov noted that the company plans to expand production and create new jobs. He expressed gratitude to the government for the opportunities provided to develop the private sector.
PET tape consists of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) obtained from recycled plastic products. Industries widely use it, including packaging, freight transportation, and the textile and construction sectors for securing, packaging, and fixing goods.
