A new facility in Turkmenistan has begun producing next-generation API SP motor oils, marking a significant step in the country's industrial development. The joint-stock company Täze Senagat, located in Gokdepe district of Ahal velayat, has launched its first production operations using advanced technologies.
The private company, which has started producing its first batches, plans to expand its product line soon. The range will include oils for passenger cars, trucks, construction and agricultural machinery, gasoline and diesel engines, as well as industrial equipment.
The base oils used in production are sourced from the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, operated by the State Concern Türkmennebit. Additives and performance-enhancing components are supplied by leading international companies based in the United States and the United Kingdom. The company’s primary supplier partner, Infineum—a joint venture between global energy giants American ExxonMobil and British-Dutch Royal Dutch Shell. This collaboration ensures the oils’ competitiveness on international markets.
The motor oils are formulated according to SP standards, which were approved by the American Petroleum Institute (API) in May 2020. These next-generation lubricants offer high shear stability, support improved fuel efficiency, perform reliably at elevated temperatures, and help maintain engine cleanliness. Such features contribute to reduced oil consumption and extended engine life.
Produced under the Greenhill brand, the oils are also intended for export. With the use of primarily local raw materials and an established domestic production base, the company is able to offer high-quality products at competitive prices. The formulations, developed using modern technologies, meet international environmental standards.
Benefiting from the broad opportunities created for the private sector under the leadership of Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Täze Senagat is confidently taking its first steps in producing import-substituting and export-oriented products.
