Turkmenistan delivered 120.03 million cubic meters of natural gas to Türkiye accounting for 3.39% of Turkey’s total gas imports in May 2025, according to Report.az, citing data from the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

As reported by the published statistics, Turkmenistan ranked fifth among the largest gas suppliers to Türkiye. Russia remained the leader, accounting for 33.7% of the supply, followed by Azerbaijan (29.87%), Iran (22.37%), and Algeria (7.96%).

In total, Türkiye imported 3.54 billion cubic meters of gas in May, representing a 22.79% increase compared to the same period last year. More than 89% of the volumes were pipeline gas, whose supply rose by 35.3%.

The supply of Turkmen gas is carried out under an agreement signed on February 10, 2025, during negotiations between the government delegations of Turkmenistan and Türkiye. The agreement stipulates annual export volumes of up to 2 billion cubic meters.
