A modern mushroom greenhouse opened in the Bitaraplyk settlement of Koneurgench district in Dashoguz province, as reported by Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper on Thursday.
The greenhouse, covering more than half a hectare, features eight mushroom cultivation chambers and auxiliary facilities equipped with modern machinery and refrigeration units.
Oyster mushrooms grown in the greenhouse reach maturity in 28 days. The facility produces 50–60 kilograms of fresh, nutritious mushrooms daily, which are supplied to local consumers.
The enterprise plans to expand production by processing part of the harvest through canning and packaging in glass containers. Facilities for this purpose are already in place, and the mushrooms are expected to be exported abroad.
