A branch of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Children in Need of Guardianship opened Tuesday at the Avaza National Tourist Zone, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.
The new branch will serve as a coordination center for organizing charitable, medical, and cultural activities, as well as providing advisory support to children. The building is equipped with modern facilities and meets current standards for medical and social institutions.
The opening ceremony was attended by leaders and members of foreign delegations participating in the the international conference on the role of women in modern society, dedicated to developing international cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals as well as representatives of civil society organizations and the academic community.
Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charity Fund, Oguljahan Atabayeva, delivered a welcoming speech, noting that the opening of the Avaza branch marks a significant milestone in the development of the Fund’s humanitarian work. She emphasized that support for children remains a key priority of Turkmenistan’s state policy.
Founded in March 2021, the Charity Fund has actively developed partnerships with international organizations of similar profile. Since its establishment, the
Fund has provided assistance to children affected by natural disasters in various countries and has ensured medical treatment for children in need in Turkmenistan.
