New Winery Products Presented in Ashgabat
Presentation of products from a new winery in the Baherden district of Ahal province, Dec. 30, 2025, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan

Products from a newly opened winery were presented and tasted at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan’s state media reported Monday.

The full-cycle facility, located in the Baherden district of Ahal province, has 100 hectares of vineyards and plans annual production of up to 208,000 decaliters of wine. The plant is equipped with modern technology, and its products are aimed at both the domestic market and exports.

Finished wines undergo multistage laboratory testing and are released to the market only after meeting international standards. During the tasting, experts evaluated five varieties for aroma, flavor and food pairings.

The presentation also featured footage from local vineyards. Thanks to the work of Turkmen breeders, a wide range of grape varieties known for resilience and quality are successfully cultivated on local soils.

The winery complex, operated by the private enterprise Parahat, was commissioned Dec. 18, 2025.
