Dry Construction Mixes and Drywall Plant Under Construction in Lebap

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamammedov said at an off-site Cabinet meeting on Friday that construction of a plant by the Türkmengips joint venture is progressing at a rapid pace in the city of Dostluk, Döwletli district, Lebap province. The facility is designed to produce 250,000 tons of dry construction mixes and 20 million square meters of drywall annually.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the deputy prime minister noted that, in line with instructions from the president of Turkmenistan, eight buildings and facilities are scheduled to be commissioned in Lebap province this year.

Construction work is being carried out at an accelerated pace to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the facilities.

Annamammedov said the state concern Türkmenhimiýa continues construction of a complex at the S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant in Turkmenabat to supply agriculture with phosphorus fertilizers and expand the range of mineral fertilizers produced in the country. The complex is designed to produce 350,000 tons of superphosphate and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate annually. The deputy prime minister also noted that work is underway to bring the Garlyk potash mining complex in Köýtendag district to its design capacity.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, after hearing the report, instructed the deputy prime minister to ensure strict control over the timely and high-quality commissioning of facilities scheduled for completion this year and to continue modernizing the region’s roads.

The meeting also reviewed and adopted decisions on a number of other important issues of state life.
