President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated the Turkmen people and the country's children on International Children's Day, wishing them good health, a happy life, and a bright future, official media reported on Monday.

In his congratulatory message, the head of state noted that International Children's Day promotes the principles of friendship, peace, and humanism, while also uniting the efforts of the international community to ensure children's right to a peaceful, safe, and happy life. He also emphasized that Turkmenistan remains committed to international principles concerning the protection of children's rights and interests.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that the comprehensive development of children is one of the priority areas of the country's state policy. According to him, Turkmenistan creates all necessary conditions for the younger generation to receive modern education and upbringing, develop their talents and abilities, and enjoy a healthy and happy life. In this regard, the country continues to build and open modern kindergartens, schools, recreation centers, and parks in Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and other regions.

The head of state also noted that the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship plays an important role in supporting the younger generation and protecting their health. In addition, he stressed that the government will continue efforts to ensure social protection for mothers and children, support large families, and expand cooperation with international organizations.

Turkmenistan marks International Children's Day with musical performances, cultural events, and recreational activities for children in Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, the Avaza National Tourist Zone, and across the country.

At the conclusion of his message, the President of Turkmenistan once again congratulated the Turkmen people and the country's children on the international holiday and wished that the joyful laughter of happy children would always be heard everywhere.
