The closed joint-stock company “Türkmenmermer” produced marble and granite products worth 2.6 million manats during the first five months of this year. The company’s marble and granite plant is located in the Owadandepe settlement of the Gökdepe etrap in Ahal velayat. The “Turkmenistan” newspaper reported this on Wednesday.
According to the report, “Türkmenmermer” increased its production volume by more than 121.8 percent compared with the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the company saw strong demand for various types of decorative stone used in road and sidewalk construction, architectural elements, and facing slabs for columns.
The enterprise, which began operations in 2006, currently manufactures a wide range of marble and granite products. The plant produces decorative stone, paving curb stones, facing slabs, stair elements, and other construction materials.
