The Mive Consortium has exported its first batches of Ginger Gold apples to consumers in Russia, Kazakhstan and Georgia, according to THP. The early varieties of apples and pears are being harvested in Kaahka etrap of Ahal velayat, where the company’s orchards cover more than 8,000 hectares.
This season, farmers expect to harvest around 14,000 tonnes of fruit. The company uses automated drip irrigation systems to grow European varieties in Ahal’s arid climate, while specialists trained by the company oversee the care of the trees.
The company maintains quality control under the Full Chain principle — from the branch to the market. After harvesting, workers send the produce through automated sorting lines and place it in Dutch-made refrigerated storage chambers.
Another area of the holding’s activities is its own plant producing freeze-dried fruits. The plant completely removes moisture from apples, strawberries and peaches while preserving vitamins and microelements, which allows surplus harvests to be processed.
