Turkmenistan’s national mobile operator Altyn Asyr has launched a new 72 network code, THP reported.
Under the new network code, telephone numbers in the international format will be used as +99372xxxxxx. The new code was launched to satisfy the population’s growing demand for mobile communication services.
Numbers with the new 72 code can be purchased at all Altyn Asyr service points at current rates.
Until now, the Altyn Asyr national operator had used the 61, 62, 63, 64, 65 and 71 network codes. The launch of the new 72 code will make it possible to expand the pool of numbers available for connecting new subscribers.
The Altyn Asyr national operator has provided mobile communication services in Turkmenistan since 2004.
