Turkmen company Blue Hills is increasing exports of cellulose paper to CIS countries ahead of the new academic year. In August, the company will supply large batches of products to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and will export office paper to Kazakhstan for the first time, Turkmen state media reported on Friday.
The company to export 135 tons of offset paper to Uzbekistan, which is intended for printing school textbooks, notebooks and albums. Another 68 tons of products will be sent to Tajikistan, while 275 tons of paper will be delivered to Iran. In addition, the enterprise will supply Kazakhstan for the first time with a batch of 48,000 sheets of A4 office paper.
Amid seasonal growth in demand, the company doubled its production volume from 600 to 1,200 tons of paper per month. The plant, commissioned in June 2025 in Ahal province’s Gokdepe district, produces A4 and A3 office paper, as well as offset paper of various densities. Its designed production capacity is 14,400 tons of products per year.
According to the company, Blue Hills products are already exported to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Armenia. In August, the enterprise will also make its first office paper shipment to Kazakhstan. The company plans to begin exports to Kyrgyzstan and Georgia in the future.
The company said its priority remains fully supplying the domestic market of Turkmenistan, after which export batches are formed. The paper production uses cellulose supplied from Portugal, Brazil, Austria, Spain and Türkiye.
