The European Union Delegation to Turkmenistan provided new school supplies to children with disabilities and children from families in need as part of its annual “Back to School” campaign, according to the EU Delegation in Turkmenistan.
The event was held August 10 with the support of the “Yenme” CSO and the Center for Supporting People with Disabilities of Turkmenistan. A total of 25 school kits were distributed as part of the campaign.
The campaign, held for five consecutive years, aims to help children prepare for the new school year and encourage their interest in education. The EU Delegation to Turkmenistan said the initiative promotes inclusive education and seeks to create conditions for every child to learn, grow and reach their full potential.
EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan Beata Peksa and delegation staff distributed the school supplies to the children. In her remarks, the ambassador encouraged the children to be eager to learn new things, stay goal-oriented and continue learning. Interactive games, music and dance performances during the event also created a festive atmosphere for the children.
