International Kids Expo 2026 Opens in Ashgabat

The international exhibition and fair Kids Expo: Everything for Children, organized by Turkmen Expo in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, officially opened on Wednesday in Ashgabat.

On this occasion, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his congratulations to the participants of the exhibition, saying the event would provide companies, educational centers and international organizations with an opportunity to showcase products, services, new developments and emerging trends for children. The Head of State expressed confidence that for children and their parents, the exhibition will serve not only as an effective platform to explore a wide range of services, but also as a vibrant celebration featuring interesting contests and competitions.

The opening ceremony was attended by members of the government, deputies of the Mejlis, representatives of ministries and agencies, heads of diplomatic missions, as well as residents and guests of the capital.

Companies from Turkmenistan and other countries, including Russia, Türkiye, Germany, Iran, Japan, Poland and the United States, are participating in the exhibition. Among the international brands represented are Vertera, ROXY-KIDS, Splat, Uvelka, R.O.C.S., PAOMMA, Wee Baby, Omo-Oso, Sanosan, VARTA, Kalleh, Port de Kalleh, Sorima, Aetrex and Anex. Russia’s Soyuzmultfilm animation studio, which is marking its 90th anniversary this year, is also taking part. Turkmen participants include Tudana, Yupekchi, Sanly sowat, Sarwan and Hasar, AMA Kids educational center, Gala football club and UNICEF’s office in Turkmenistan.

The exhibition also features the KIDS EXPO CHESS CUP 2026 international chess tournament, held Aug. 19-22. Young players in the U8, U10 and U12 categories from more than 15 countries are expected to compete in rapid and blitz events under FIDE rules. The program also includes a free-play zone, master classes, educational activities, presentations and a chess quiz.

Other activities include a STEM zone with presentations on biology, chemistry and environmental engineering, as well as workshops on Minecraft Education and mechanical structures. The planetarium features the NASA Space Apps Challenge program, while children can take part in interactive activities with Dash robots. The art zone offers workshops in canvas painting, ceramics, modeling, painting and sewing. Seminars for parents focus on child development and lifestyle, while a school fair offers products for preparing for the new academic year.

A separate highlight is the presentation of Menekliler, the first 3D animated series by Turkmen company MenzilMekan Animation. The series follows its characters through various adventures that introduce young viewers to friendship, mutual assistance, respect and kindness.

The Kids Expo 2026: Everything for Children international trade fair will run through Aug. 22 at the Expo Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
