Foreign leaders have sent congratulatory messages to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, Turkmen state media reported.
Congratulatory messages were sent by Chinese President Xi Jinping, U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.
The messages noted Turkmenistan’s achievements in socioeconomic development, as well as the country’s growing standing in the international arena. The heads of state also expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral cooperation with Turkmenistan.
In their messages, the heads of state wished President Serdar Berdimuhamedov good health and success in his state activities, and the people of Turkmenistan peace, prosperity and further well-being.
Several ceremonial events marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence are being held in Ashgabat on Sept. 27, including a military parade and festive concerts dedicated to the anniversary.
