GDP growth rate is stable at 6.2 percent in the January-May period.

According to the economic indicators of the first five months of 2019, the national economy of Turkmenistan maintains stable growth rate. GDP growth rate is stable at 6.2 percent in the January-May period, Turkmen state media announced on Thursday.

In comparison with the same period of last year, the volume of retail trade increased by 19.1 percent, exports of domestic products increased by 14 percent, and imports of goods fell by 20 percent in the reporting period.

The revenue part of the State budget of the country is equal to 7.53 billion manats, and the expenditure – 7.49 billion manats. Compared to the same period of last year, average monthly wage for large and medium-sized enterprises increased by 9.5 percent.
