President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is expected to visit Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
According to the document, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliyev held a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyz Republic Shadurdy Meredov on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues on the cooperation agenda, as well as the interaction of the two countries within the framework of regional and international organizations.
Niyazaliyev stressed the importance of the meeting of Council of CIS Heads of State, scheduled for October this year in Ashgabat, and of the state visit of Turkmen President to Kyrgyzstan.
The parties also discussed the relevant issues of holding the 4th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation.
The previous state visit of the Turkmen Leader to Kyrgyzstan took place in August 2015.
