A meeting with trade adviser to the Austrian embassy in Turkmenistan (residence in Kazakhstan's Nur-Sultan) Rudolf Thaler was held at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) on October 1, the Union said in a press release.
At the meeting, UIET Chairman Alexander Dadayev noted with satisfaction the dynamics of the dialogue between business circles of the two countries. As an example, he mentioned the cooperation in the field of husbandry, recently launched export of Turkmen melons to Vienna, the work of the trade office of the Union in Austria, as well as the regularity and effectiveness of Turkmen-Austrian business meetings.
Dadayev briefed Rudolf Thaler about the main economic indicators of the Union and the export potential of Turkmen entrepreneurs, as well as their expanding opportunities in the development of the domestic tourism industry. The Austrian trade representative spoke in favor of intensifying trade and economic cooperation between business representatives of the two countries.
The parties discussed the plans for the implementation of joint tourism projects, taking into account the huge tourism potential and recreational opportunities of Turkmenistan. The sides named agro-industry, implementation of IT, and the processing of natural resources among the promising areas of cooperation.
The representative office of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan opened in Vienna in June 2017. The trade office links business circles of Turkmenistan and European countries, as well as contributes to the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
