The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Agriculture and Environment Protection and the Governor of the Ahal velayat held a meeting with the UK Prime-minister’s Special Trade Envoy for Turkmenistan Baroness Emma Nicholson in London on September 30, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said in a press release.

The delegation also met with experts of the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of the United Kingdom in the first day of the visit.

The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the area of applying digitalization to the agricultural sector, enhancing the labor productivity, and exchange of experience and scientific researches between the agricultural educational institutions of two countries, said in the document.

The next day, Turkmen delegation visited a number of research-and-development centers of the Northern Ireland.

Particularly, the delegation visited the College of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship and met with its Director. During the visit, the Turkmen delegates got acquainted with the research and educational complexes of the College and their functions.

Turkmen delegation then got acquainted with the activities of the Movangher Fish Farm.

The program of the working trip also includes the visit to the Institute of Rural Food Industry and Biological Sciences, and the Institute of Global Food Security.
