Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) hosted a delegation from Turkmenistan via US State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on October 21.
According to the DFI’s official Twitter account, the participants explored “Bank and credit union operations and how they are evolving with greater use of online banking, smartphone apps, and cashless transactions.”
The State DFI’s Deputy Secretary, Administrator of the Division of Banking, Director of the Office of Credit Unions and many other U.S. officials took part in the meeting.
The exchange brings up to 5,000 professional emerging leaders from around the world to the United States each year to experience the richness and diversity of American political, economic, social and cultural life.
During a working visit, which can last up to three-weeks, participants can gain experience in their fields in the respective institutions and organizations of the USA.
