Dozens of business women, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), took part in the international trade fair BUSINESS WOMEN EXPO 2019, held on October 24-26 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
According to the UIET, the Center for Business Women, established under the Union, became the intermediary in the participation of Turkmen women entrepreneurs in the international exhibition.
Turkmen women presented skillful national carpets and handicrafts at an international trade fair organized by the Association of Business Women of Uzbekistan.
Besides the representatives of Turkmenistan, business women from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan also attended the fair.
The international conference titled “Prospects for Regional Cooperation” took place on the sidelines of the trade fair, during which the participants discussed the role of women in entrepreneurship.
The first edition of the exhibition BUSINESS WOMEN EXPO was held in Tashkent in November last year.
Union of Women of Turkmenistan and the UIET jointly created the Center for Business Women of Turkmenistan. The center is designed to help strengthen and expand the cooperation of Turkmen women in work and business, to support them in solving important social and economic issues, and first of all, to solve the issues of employment in cities and villages of remote etraps.
