State Migration Service of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Turkmenistan Nighthart Höfer-Wissingam on October 31.
The guest noted the high interest of Germany to further develop traditionally friendly relations with Turkmenistan, according to the State Service’s press release.
The Ambassador noted that in recent years, both countries, taking an active position in addressing various transnational issues, supported each other continuously in the international arena, actively developing productive ties not only on a bilateral but also in a multilateral basis – within the framework of the international organizations and structures.
The parties then exchanged views on the prospects and opportunities of the Turkmen-German partnership in the field of migration, discussing a number of priority areas of the cooperation.
The officials also discussed issues of visa issuance for the citizens of Germany.
As the meeting came to an end, the sides expressed their confidence that the established cooperation in the field of migration between the two countries will continue to develop dynamically in the interests of the peoples of the two friendly states.
