Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with the delegation headed by the Executive Director of the Dubai EXPO – 2020 Bureau Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali, the Ministry said in a Tuesday press release.
The parties noted the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates on a wide range of issues and discussed the significance of the International Exhibition EXPO-2020 in Dubai from the perspective of developing trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties between the countries.
The sides particularly discussed the organizational matters related to the participation of the representatives of Turkmenistan in this major event. The parties noted that the participation of Turkmenistan in the international exhibition will not only make an input into further strengthening of Turkmen-Emirates relations, but will also create an opportunity to acquaint the world community with the economic achievements of Turkmenistan and display the rich culture of Turkmen people.
The area of the Turkmen pavilion will cover 1,581 square meters. Tekmil Private Company will build and equip the pavilion for the Expo 2020 Dubai.
The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris awarded Dubai as the host of World EXPO 2020 on November 27, 2013.
The official platform for the World EXPO 2020 exhibition pavilion will be the new Dubai Trade Center with an area of 438 hectares, projected specifically for the exhibition.
