Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the head of the European Union delegation in Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) Mr.Christian Berger, Turkmen Foreign Ministry announced Friday.
During the talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ashgabat, the parties discussed the issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union. The sides noted the role of cooperation within the framework of international organizations and considered further steps to expand cooperation in different areas.
The diplomats emphasized the positive development of cooperation between the EU and Turkmenistan in 2019 and a necessity to establish an inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Christian Berger previously arrived to Turkmenistan in May this year for talks at the Foreign Ministry.
