President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
During the conversation, the Leaders discussed key vectors of bilateral cooperation, which in recent years gained new momentum and is successfully developing across its entire spectrum.
The parties noted the presence of impressive potential for further enhancing and diversifying trade and economic cooperation, increasing the volume of mutual trade turnover, stimulating investment activity, and entering new mutually beneficial projects.
The presidents also exchanged views on a number of regional and global issues. The Heads of State emphasized the commitment of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation to a constructive partnership within the UN and other authoritative international organizations in order to ensure global peace, security and prosperity.
Turkmen Leader then invited his Russian counterpart to participate in celebrations dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
In 2019, the volume of mutual trade between Turkmenistan and Russia grew by 2.6 times.
