Turkmenistan Envisages Increase of Foreign Investors in Fuel, Energy Complex
The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the need to continue negotiations with companies interested in cooperation.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday held a working meeting on the works carried out at the country's fuel and energy complex.

The Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on Oil and Gas Issues Yagshysheldi Kakayev and the Chairman of Turkmengaz State Concern Myrat Archayev attended the meeting.

After the officials’ briefings, the Head of State emphasized the need to continue negotiations with companies interested in cooperation and said the appropriate work should be done to increase the attractiveness of the development of oil and gas resources on the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea for foreign investors.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the existing opportunities for attracting foreign investments to the oil and gas sector and developing international cooperation must be fully disclosed at international conferences and business forums.

The Head of State also said it is necessary to propose economically viable projects, including the construction of new gas chemical complexes, which need to be divided into phases based on their economic feasibility.

Turkmen Leader noted the fuel and energy complex is faced with the task of introducing best practices, innovative methods, and increasing its export potential in all segments of the industry.

The President of Turkmenistan added it is necessary to expand the infrastructure of the oil and gas industry through the creation of new modern industries.
