Businessman Shamammet Demirov’s livestock complex in Lebap velayat’s Dyanev etrap in the northeastern Turkmenistan includes more than 200 cattle and 60 goats.
The 7-hectare livestock complex includes indoor pens and barns, storage rooms, and housing for staff. The rest of the leased area is actively used for growing winter and spring feed.
Demirov said the fodder wheat is sown annually, and after the harvest, seasonal crops such as legumes, gourds, and corn is grown, adding that they “procure the additional amount of feed”.
The complex contains cattle of Holstein and Simmental breeds brought from Russia.
Lebap velayat has 25 livestock farms that are operated by the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. They contain about 3.8 thousand highly productive breed of cattle.
