Turkmen, Uzbek Leaders Support Joint Efforts to Deal With Coronavirus
Turkmen and Uzbek leaders expressed confidence that joint efforts to deal with the Covid-19 will contribute to the successful solution of this complex task.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a telephone conversation on Wednesday discussed the prevention of the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), which causes tension and uncertainty around the world and has a negative impact on international relations and trade.

During the telephone conversation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said Turkmenistan fully supports the international community in efforts to combat the spread of coronavirus, took a responsible approach to the problem and is ready to closely cooperate with Uzbekistan in this direction.

The Heads of State spoke in favor cooperation of the neighboring states to deal with the Covid-19 and expressed confidence that the joint efforts will contribute to the successful solution of this complex task.

The Heads of State also discussed issues of strengthening Turkmen-Uzbek relations and expanding multifaceted cooperation in trade and economic, energy, transport and communication spheres.
