Ashgabat, Kyiv Agree to Intensify Private Sector Cooperation
Turkmen and Ukrainian foreign ministers discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on Monday.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.

The foreign ministers emphasized the importance of mutual support for the initiatives of the two states at the venues of international organizations, primarily within the UN.

In this regard, the parties noted the importance of continuing inter-ministerial consultations, the resumption of meetings between the public and private sectors of the two states, and the holding of online meetings at the initial stage of the resumption.

The officials also discussed cooperation in combating the coronavirus pandemic and intensifying mechanisms for joint actions to counter the threats of the pandemic.

The sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and in intensifying cooperation on the cultural-humanitarian sphere.
