Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held online negotiations with the Member of the Government - the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Evgeniy Grigoryev on Friday. The Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also attended the meeting.
The meeting participants discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and the active interaction of Turkmenistan with the regions of the Russian Federation. In particular, the parties considered the implementation of the agreements reached during the working visit of Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov to St. Petersburg in February this year.
The sides identified specific steps to intensify cooperation in the fields of transport, construction and production of construction materials.
Due to the difficult global situation, the parties noted the need to intensify international scientific dialogue in the fight against the pandemic.
During the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov’s visit to Turkmenistan in February this year, the sides signed a Road Map, joint action plan between the governments of Saint Petersburg and Turkmenistan for 2020-2025.
