Turkmen Foreign Ministry announced that on Wednesday the online meeting was held with the Romanian representatives on activation of the Caspian Sea – Black sea international transport corridor.

The Turkmen side included the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads and specialists of Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Seaways), Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Motor Transport), Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways), agencies, Turkmenbashi International Seaport, Turkmen Logistics Association, and Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

According to the Turkmen Ministry's statement, the Romanian side included the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction and representatives of state companies of Romania.

The meeting participants exchanged views on the cooperation in transit-transport sphere and the maximum use of potential of the Caspian Sea – Black sea international transport corridor. The sides focused on the issues of price formation in the sphere of freight, customs duties, trade preferences and on other relevant issues.

The sides also discussed the issues of container transportation along the corridor by means of strengthening the cooperation between the ports and private logistics companies. To this end, the parties exchanged views on the possibilities of lease and use of the cargo terminal of Constanta seaport.
