Turkmenistan, Russia’s St. Petersburg to Intensify Healthcare Cooperation

With the support of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, a video meeting was held on cooperation between St. Petersburg and Turkmenistan in the field of medicine and prevention of COVID-19 on Friday, the press service of the Committee said in a press release.

The event was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Healthcare Committee Andrey Sarana, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee on External Relations Andrey Hlutkov, Special Representative of the Governor of St. Petersburg for Healthcare Arfeniya Ter-Minasova, and heads of several medical institutions of St. Petersburg.

The heads of the Geropharm and Biocad companies interested in the supply of medicines to Turkmenistan, also took part in the meeting.

From the Turkmen side, Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Chary Agamyradov took part in the meeting.

The meeting participants discussed issues related to cooperation in the field of medicine and prevention of COVID-19.

The sides reached agreements on the exchange of experience on the prevention of COVID-19, and on the organization of visits of representatives of medical institutions and universities of St. Petersburg and Turkmenistan after the stabilization of the epidemiological situation.
