Turkmenistan, Qatar to Expand Bilateral Economic Ties
The officials emphasized the commitment of Turkmenistan and Qatar to long partnership under authoritative international organizations.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports.

The Heads of the two states exchanged greetings on the occasion of the Kurban Bayrami (Eid al-Adha), expressing confidence that this bright holiday will contribute to progress, the triumph of peace and the strengthening of solidarity in the entire Muslim community and on the planet.

Addressing the best wishes to the peoples of the two countries, the Turkmen Leader and the Emir of Qatar expressed satisfaction with the high level of bilateral political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations, underlining favorable prospects for entering new areas of partnership.

Expressing gratitude to the Emir of Qatar for special attention and personal contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation, President Berdimuhamedov underlined that Turkmenistan is committed to the traditional interstate dialogue.

In this regard, the sides expressed the mutual desire to bring strategic and long-term cooperation up to a new level with the aim to strengthen the role of the two states in the global geopolitical and economic space.

Discussing important issues of the regional and global agenda, the parties focused on the coronavirus pandemic, a serious threat to all mankind that caused global crisis.

President of Turkmenistan noted that Turkmenistan fully supports the efforts of the international community in combating the spread of this dangerous infection.
