Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov on Thursday held online negotiations with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Albert Karimov, Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
During the constructive negotiations, the parties noted the dynamic growth of interaction between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan.
“Within the framework of reliable and trusting interaction with the advanced state and business structures of Tatarstan, Turkmenistan has established close ties in such priority areas as the oil and gas industry, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, motor vehicles, service maintenance, construction and overhaul of large industrial facilities of various purposes,” Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in the statement.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction in the development of relationships in the medical industry. Taking into account the current situation with the global spread of coronavirus infection, cooperation in this area is becoming especially relevant, the officials noted.
The parties also agreed to continue to expand and strengthen effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in all priority areas of mutual interest.
For many years, Turkmenistan has been actively cooperating with such leading companies of Tatarstan as KAMAZ PJSC, Tatneft PJSC, KER-Holding LLC, Kazan Helicopter Plant PJSC, Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation JSC and with other business structures of the region.
