Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the implementation of state programs for the production of import-substituting products and increasing exports. The demand for domestic products is growing not only in the local, but also in foreign markets.
According to a press release issued by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan on Wednesday, Batly Gadam Individual Enterprise exported over 187,292 tons of cotton fiber and 309,856 pairs of high-quality socks in January-September of this year.
The company sent several consignments of products to Russia and Turkey, the Customs Service said in the statement.
The enterprise provides itself with raw materials used in the production of socks and fibers that meet requirements of ISO international environmental standards.
Batly Gadam, located in the country’s Balkan velayat, is growing cotton on its 2,300-hectare plot. The company produces 13.5 tons of high-quality fiber and 50 thousand pairs of socks annually.
Last year, the company exported 3,826 tons of fiber to Russia and Turkey.
