Turkmenistan increases the volumes of production of import-substituting building materials both due to the commissioning of new capacities in the industry, and due to the modernization of existing enterprises, which makes it possible to expand the range and increase the competitiveness of the products in international markets.
According to Türkmenistan newspaper’s Saturday issue, Türkmendemirönümleri state-owned metallurgical plant produced nearly 135.4 million manats worth of products in January-September of this year. The growth rate compared to the same period last year is 103.35%.
Over the past years, the company has established new production lines for products of various types, which made it possible to speed up the processing of customer orders. The company's products are also supplied to construction sites in the country on a contractual basis.
Türkmendemirönümleri metallurgical plant, commissioned in 2009 in Ahal velayat’s Gokdepe etrap, is designed to produce 160 thousand tons of products annually. Turkmen heavy industry’s first enterprise is also one of the largest enterprises of its kind in Central Asia.
